Demand has always been treated as fixed — something the grid has to serve no matter the price or the moment. AI compute is the first load large enough, and controllable enough, to change that. FlexSys exists to make flexibility the default, not the exception.

The goal

A grid that bends instead of breaks

Every data centre we connect is a step toward an energy system where demand responds to supply in real time — cheaper for compute, more stable for the grid.

GPU clusters are one of the few loads on the grid today that can flex without anyone noticing — scheduling, not switching off. That makes them the fastest practical path to a genuinely flexible energy system, and it's why we started here rather than somewhere slower to move.

We're backed by Flipped Energy's existing retail and wholesale market position in the NEM, and we're proving the model on the live Transgrid network under an independently verified pilot — see Project CURTAIL.
